At the Bird Market you can buy a variety of animals, birds, and fish. All animals offered for sale must undergo a clinical examination. 

To ensure that buyers are confident in the health of their pet, there is a veterinary department, which is a structural subdivision of the SBBZh (animal disease control station) of the South-Eastern Administrative District of Moscow. Veterinarians perform free examinations, advise on the care of different breeds of cats, dogs, rabbits and other animals, check food, issue veterinary certificates, carry out vaccinations, conduct educational work among employees and visitors on the prevention of diseases common to humans and animals.
